The recognition of Baldur’s Gate 3 motivates Larian to continue to expand the boundaries in its “next major game”

Yesterday the nominations were announced on The Game Awards 2023, and, as expected, Baldur’s Gate 3, together with Alan Wake 2, headed the race, receiving eight nominations each. The recent (and, possibly, future) victories at the ceremonies of the awards of the Larian studio stimulate the team even more to expand the boundaries in their next game.

This was announced by the General Director of Larian Studios, Sven Vinka, responding to eight nominations of his role -playing game on a social network.

This is a real honor. Especially in the year, when so many games were released. To see how our small ‘niche role -playing game’ causes such a stir, really inspires.

Then Vinka boldly hinted at "The next big game" studios and shared what a recognition is "really inspires us to expand many boundaries".

Baldur’s Gate 3 also recently triumph at the Golden Joysticks Awards 2023 awards, winning seven different categories, including "Supporting best actor" And, of course, the most prestigious award of the evening – "The best game of the year".

Although Larian is already busy enjoying all awards and successes this week, the studio also finds the time for joyful announcements. Just yesterday the company announced "intriguing week" With a possible release date for Xbox and the release of the physical edition of the game.

Concerning "the next big game" From Larian, unfortunately, there are no obvious hints of its essence. The studio is famous for its outstanding CRPG (despite some disagreements in relation to the genre), especially with two brilliant Divinity: Original Sin games that preceded the popular hit D&D. Thus, there is a chance that the team will decide to quit bones again and continue its series built in the election. Nevertheless, the team constantly raises the possibility of adding, which will probably happen earlier than completely new projects appear.
